Stay connected from the moment you land in Mexico. A Mexico eSIM from eSIM888 is a prepaid travel data plan that runs on Radiomovil Dipsa (Telcel) — no physical SIM card, no queue at an airport kiosk and no roaming bill from your home carrier.
Choose from 5 plans starting at $2.20 USD, from 1GB for a short visit up to 20GB for longer stays of up to 30 days. Every plan supports hotspot, so you can share your data with a laptop or a travel companion. You install the eSIM by scanning a QR code before you leave, and the plan only starts counting down once it connects to a network in Mexico.
Pick a plan above that matches your trip length and how much data you use. Make sure your phone supports eSIM and is carrier unlocked — see our eSIM support page if you are not sure.
Your QR code is emailed to you right after checkout. While on Wi-Fi, scan it on iPhone under Settings > Cellular > Add eSIM, or on Android under Settings > Network & internet > SIMs. Installing early does not start your plan.
Select the eSIM line for mobile data and turn on data roaming for it (APN: venta-m). Your plan starts when the eSIM first connects to a local network. Keep your home SIM on for calls and SMS if you like.
One fixed, prepaid price for each plan. No contract, no hidden fees and no surprise roaming charges on your phone bill.
Your eSIM arrives by email seconds after checkout, so you can buy it the night before you fly — or even at the airport.
Install it at home and the validity only begins once the eSIM connects to a network at your destination. You have 180 days to activate it.
Use the eSIM for data while your home SIM stays installed, so WhatsApp, banking codes and calls from home keep working.
Share your data with a laptop, tablet or a travel companion at no extra cost.

The Mexico eSIM connects to Radiomovil Dipsa (Telcel). Your phone will show the partner network name when it connects. Coverage and speed depend on the local network in the area you are visiting.
Yes. All Mexico eSIM plans support hotspot (tethering), so you can share data with a laptop, tablet or another phone. Hotspot use counts toward your plan's data allowance.
The validity period starts when your eSIM first connects to a supported network in Mexico, not when you buy or install it. You have up to 180 days from the purchase date to activate it.
Yes. If you are an eSIM888 member, you can add more data to the same eSIM from "My eSIM" after logging in, without installing a new QR code.
For maps, messaging and light browsing on a short trip, 1GB is usually enough. If you upload photos, make video calls or use social media every day, choose 3GB to 5GB per week. For streaming, remote work or hotspot sharing, pick a larger plan of up to 20GB.
The APN is "venta-m". It is usually set automatically when you install the eSIM. If you have signal but no internet, check that the APN in your eSIM settings matches and that data roaming is turned on for the eSIM line.
